Cutting comebacks
When I was younger, my mother would encourage me to use my wit to respond to bullies. As it turned out, none of my wit was necessary after I decked a kid who was twice my size in front of the teacher when I was seven, and gave another kid a black eye the following year - he said that I'd never hit him - big mistake! But I love cool comebacks and biting turns of phrase.
After seeing that Weird Al has decided to tell the legal freaks to rack off and releasing his parody of James Blunt's You're Beautiful (You're Pitiful), I had a look at some of his other recent work... in just one song, Genius in France, here are a few interesting ones... at least to me!
- a moronic little freak... an annoying pipsqueak with an unfortunate physique... if I was any dumber, they'd have to water me twice a week
- got too much chlorine in my gene pool
- about as sharp as a bowling ball

Bullies often act on insecurities and quite regularly they come from homes with a dysfunctional family environment. Unfortuately bullying doesn't always stop within the school environment with it extending into the workplace in and beyond. For a bully their own insecurity and their lack of stability in character cause them to make another person's life difficult. Handling a bully or bullying is not easy and having suffered it from within the school environment, it can have pyschological effects later in life. There is constantly within schools the attempt to totally eliminate bullying but quite often the bully is unable to modify his behaviour and unfortunately if not discplined or treated in the correct manner, anti social behaviour may occur later in life. Quite often within the workplace a bully can stand over and make the life of other employees very difficult and fortunately almost every workplace has a means of dealing with such behaviour. For the bully control, domination, guilt and manipulation by fear are the tools of his or her trade. Take these away or disallow such behaviours to occur and quite often the bully is powerless. When dealing with a bully standing up for yourself and marking your ground can be a tiring pursuit but fortunately now with legislation in place, bullies can now be dealt with more swiftly to ensure their behaviour does not exist within the workplace etc.
